Graduation is an important academic tradition. Biblical University takes this opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge your achievements publicly. Guests, especially relatives and friends, are warmly invited to share this celebration with you.
Commencement Ceremonies
All roads lead to BU Grad. Complete your payments. Do yourself a favour to let us know about the number of your guests so we can make a reservation for you and your guests, book your gown, and complete all necessary requirements for graduation.
Things you need to know
To participate in the Commencement Ceremony, all Graduating Students MUST participate in the Commencement Day Procedure Exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to answer certain questions you may have regarding Commencement and your participation in this exciting event. Please refer to the University Office to request scheduled date. Defaulters will be exempted from participating in graduation ceremony.

1.1 WHO CAN TAKE PART IN THE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES?
Only those students that have completed their course work, submitted thesis, and completed payments are eligible to take part in the Commencement Exercises.

How to submit your thesis
Advice and procedures for all academic students for submitting a print and online copy of your completed thesis to your department and the library.
What is required?
The University regulations require you to provide both a hard-bound copy and an electronic copy of your final corrected thesis to be kept and made available by the University Library.
Detailed guidance on the presentation of your thesis will be communicated to you. See essential elements of the electronic file formats etc. www.services.biblicaluniversity.org.ng
After your viva, you should:
• Upload an electronic copy of your thesis and forward to the University’s mail mail@biblicaluniversity.org.ng
• Hand in a hard-bound copy of your thesis to the University's Registrar
• Thesis must be submitted not later than MAY

There are no tickets. Your Guest Card will serve to admit your guests.

1.6 ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS
An Academic Transcript is an official record of your academic history at BU. It details all unit attempts and your grade for each unit. If you were enrolled in more than one course, it lists all courses and all units studied at BU.
All students receive a transcript for a charge when they complete their course. Your transcript confirms your progress.
Academic Transcripts include the following information:
Student name and ID number
Date of issue
Course and unit titles
Year of study and teaching period
Credit points
Marks and grades
Exemptions or credits
Grade point averages (GPA)
1.7 ACADEMIC GOWN & FAQ
Gown and collection.
All graduands must wear full academic gown for their ceremony. Gowns should be collected from the College. Gowns from the University attract a small fee, it's to be used and returned immediately after the ceremony.
The Biblical University has the sole right to sell or re-make its own gown. So, do not sew academic gown outside of the College. It is prohibited!.
Prostitution of College academic gown is prohibited.
How do I order my cap and gown?

What should I wear?
Graduands are expected to dress smartly. Those dressed inappropriately may not be admitted to the ceremony.
What should my guests wear?
Graduation ceremonies are formal events and guests normally dress in a manner appropriate to a formal occasion such as a wedding.
Do I have to wear academic gown?
Yes. You will not be allowed to join the ceremony unless wearing full academic gown.
What does my gown and hood look like?
The colour of your gown and hood will depend upon the degree you have been awarded. Generally Royal Blue, Blue Black and touch of Gold but the style may be different.
What if my circumstances change but I have already paid for my gown?
Students who will not be present at the ceremony to wear their gowns should inform the University at least one month before the date of the ceremony to receive an exemption from the ceremony. Graduates who defer, or graduates in absentia, and have fulfilled all righteousness, will be sent their documentation at the end of the relevant graduation period to the postal address recorded in the student system or contact the University Office to receive their awards. Delivery service fee is required.
1.8 BU ALUMNI AND FRIENDS LUNCHEON
The University welcomes new graduates at the BU Alumni and Friends Luncheon, to celebrate, worship, fellowship, strengthen one another and support the college.
Catch up and network with fellow BUites. Light refreshments will be served. Chill-out with your class, and share your favorite University memories.
The luncheon will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the graduation venue.
